Ka'hmesh took the other straight to the lake before setting him down. "We should get you cleaned up," he mumbled, eyes lidding just a bit as he slipped the burned area of his coils into the cool water.

Farlest didn't say anything, just nodded mutely. He painfully drew his knees to his chest, burying his face in the hollow between them. He felt like an idiot...not to mention the thoughts running through his head just made him feel so -hollow-.

He blinked slightly, reaching over to touch his shoulder, lightly. "Hey ... I don't care about anything he said," he said quietly. "And you shouldn't either. You are not the idiot, he is." And an asshole besides, but he wasn't saying that out loud.

He let out a shaky breath, "I wonder sometimes." His hand reached up to touch Ka's. "Gods...I'm starting to wonder if he cared about me at all or if I was just like one of his posessions. Something to fuck when going to war got boring."

He turned his hand, squeezing the other's gently. "If that is true ... then he's more of an idiot than I thought." He paused, looking down at the other. "He should never have let you go ... if he really wanted to keep you."

He looked up, his vulnerability shining clear in his wide, ever-expressive eyes, "Ka'hmesh. I love you."

He leaned a bit closer, cupping the other's cheek with his free hand. "And I you."
