A Clockwork Fox

I love making animal masks, and I love steampunk, so this mask was a really silly whimsical thing I made one day that ended up being a wildly popular design. Also, it was fun for me to name (wordplay on one of my favorite books/movies; "A Clockwork Orange").

Anyway, Like all my work, this mask is hand carved from 8oz leather, shaped without a mold or form, & painted with a combination of Liquitex acrylics & acrylic antiquing stains in burnished gold and copper on black, to simulate the look of steampunk clockwork gears.
