Yuko

Posted Nov 29, 2005, 3:49:28 AM UTC

I just finished this! WHOOT!!! I've been at it ALL DAY! This is Yuko from XXX Holic. Now,I'm really really sorry if my inking sucks. I've never tried ink before and my hands shake when I draw sometimes. I know all the lines don't look nice but I did my best. ^_^ That's enough for me. ^_^

Hope you all like anyhoo! ^_^

I like this inking -- kind of Peter Max does Manga. I think you captured her nicely, even without inking her hair and without having her holding a drink. It's all in the eyes and that knowing smile, right?

Well, the lines are certainly steadier than anything *I've* ever accomplished. Laughing Good work.

Hey Girl, i really like this! I like the...im searching for the word in english...ah in french you understand...cadrage, where all the black ink is. Its original and create a pop art look. The lines everywhere is a nice touch. Some color only in the back you give such a look to this pic, it would totally give it a pop art look. I definetely like this one. Bon travail, et non l'encre est parfaite!Grin

Thanks very much Lili! ^_^ I was trying out ink that, as I said, I've never done before. I'm working on some more B/W art now too. lol It'll be done soon. ^_^

Oh sweetie, I was wondering when we would see something new from you. Smile Anyway, for being a newbie to inking, you have done quite a lovely job. I think your lines look really good. They are all solid and I can see a couple of "shakey" spots, but no artist is perfect especially when inking a drawing. I always shake when I am inking as well because I am so nervous about messing up my drawing that I worked so hard on. >_< Anywhoo, don't worry about it. You have a beautiful drawing indeed. She has alot of hair. I bet that was a pain to do, huh? beautiful work Katie. All my love. ^_^

Thank you very much! ^_^ I worked really hard on this one. I had nothing to look at so it's all from scratch. All in all, 5 hours straight through is a lotof time to work on something for me. lol ^_^

Oh yes, Katie... I can definitely see that you have put quite a large amount of time and energy into this. And you should be very proud. Do you find that you produce better drawings when you slow dwn and take your time on them or do you think for you it is about the same? Because I noticed a HUGE change in the quality when I actually decided to slow myself down and take my time on my most recent ones. But anyway, she looks wonderful and you should definitely be proud of yourself. Much love. ^_^

I find I draw my best when I'm listening to someone or something. So, when I'm listening to fast music I draw fast and when the music is slow, I draw slow. ^_^ But, I tend to draw my basic outlines better fast and my detailed work better slow. ^_^

I think you did a great job on this. And all the lines give it a sense of movement this looks awesome!
