Flow & Light

A (mostly, meant-to-be) abstract piece for a friend who is normally more of a fan of such things than I am. :p I wanted to bring some of her and some of me to the table - the business and excitement and intertwined shapes she favors, and her favorite blue-green tones dominant in the composition, but also something that still felt like my style rather than a ripoff of someone else's. I'm hoping I was somewhat successful, and that she can enjoy.

...I think some representational art seaped in in spite of me though - there is definitely something of sun and water in it!

It's beautiful! Did you use pen or color pencils?

      Thank you. Smile
Markers, mix of fine-tip and brush-tip. But functionally close enough to pen on the fine-tip ones!

I would say this is a bit more on the heavy side of surrealism than abstract, but it's a nice composition none-the-less Smile The rigid forms and curves are a lovely contrast from one another.

...Oh well. :p (Hopefully she likes it anyway!)
