This was done for a friend. She wanted a Dragon Tattoo. Thou I don't know how to tattoo someone( a fear of needles doesn't help), I do design them for my friends. She loved it, but I'm not sure if she ever got it done. I tried to create an Asian dragon in a Western style.
Wow!*Blinks twice*This is really good!Especially because I just look dragons,I really like the way you made the dragons body gracefully curl, the old photo look compliments it.It truly makes it look like a drawing back in the old days of Japanese drawings.I agree with Jeff you shouldn't listen to what others say too much.(but yet you can because you learn and perfect your artwork with comments)Your a very talent artist and believe me I'm kinda envious*twirls thumbs*Keep it up buddy!

yo screw what everone else says about your work i think it is great you are very talented. quote jeff sweatt 2006 "ART WORK IS NOT WHAT OTHER PEOPLE FEEL ABOUT IT. ITS ABOUT WHAT YOU THINK IT SHOULD BE." love the work on all of paperdemon its all good becuase it expresses so much and inspires
Calm down, I understand where the critism comes from. I look at traditiona asian art and think the same thing about Perspective and compostion, But then It is the style of art we must look at. Thanks for taking the time to look at my work.

Ooh, very nice. I do kinda see where BogusRed is coming from on the awkward position, but you do have a point on how Asian dragons tend to do that.
I really love the scales. It's very cool that no two scales seem to look alike. That's shibby, and it shows you put a lot of work into it. The claws also got my attention. They're very nice.
Now to the head. The whisker-like things seem to be a little thick (I've done reports on dragons for school assignments, so I hope I know what I'm talking about. ) but maybe you were aiming for that. Most of the pictures I've found of Eastern Dragon's whiskers had kinda thinner ones, though. Other than that, the head is great. The detail's immense, especially around the mane.
I do see the combination of Western dragon (especially around the thick claws and the angry eyes) and Eastern, but I think the Eastern side shows the most.
Overall, very nice! And that, my good friend, is the first all out evaluation I've ever done in my entire life. Whoo, what a workout for my poor fingers! I hope that was a good enough roasting for ya.
Thanks, For the Roast it was tasty. I teacher once told me you can't draw what you do not know. You are probably right I need a lil more research on Oriental dragons. We'll see if I do another, I'll keep an eye on The limbs and the whiskers.
Shibby!! Well, I'm glad I could help. I'm always worried about offending people with crit, but I'm really glad to see you took it well. So thank YOU, too!
It took me a bit of thought but i'm finaly ready to comment on this.
This is a new one for me, or if it isn't then the memory escapes me. In my opinion you did a very well done job on this. I do see the western style you spoke of and you can't help but see that it's an oriental dragon. So in essence you did exactly what you had sent out to do.
Thanks Den, Thanks also for stopping by my Gallery. This one I don't think I showed you. Only place I had it posted was on myspace. Where is your new work?
This is great work! I do that too! I drew a fairy for mah friend once, I should have got it scanned before giving it to her. The body and scales are done really really well. I think he should have had some teeth... Other then that you achieved that Western/Asian Dragon look. Great job!
Now for the roasting! I think the position of the arms seems a little akward. But the scales and the body shape look nice. His back legs look like he's doing a split and his front arms looks like he's going to give someone a hug.
Thanks for the Comment. Funny thing I Wasn't so sure about the scales. And I totally agree with you about the Limbs, Thing is traditional chinese dragons have that strange conturtion with the limbs. Thanks
