This is one of my most recent poems, inspired by a young man that came into the ER where I work...Help me out with this, can you tell what he did? I'm not sure if the poetic situation is very clear, so all help is appreciated!
Blue Jeans
crumpled on the floor in a
plastic bag reek of dirt and
sweat. A brown belt looped
around their neck.
Sitting back in the quiet of this
madness they wait to be
recovered. She's called twice to say
she'll be in to pick them up.
He searches for his
glasses on the bedroom floor, the broken
light fixture overhead pitching
an electronic scream.
He misses his
blue jeans.
