A practice ink and watercolor study for my Illustration class. One of the reference artists I chose for this particular project is Ayami Kojima, the woman best known for her Castlevania illustrations. The goal was to mimic her style while adding a bit of my own, which I think I got in my opinion. I am so floored by the fact that I did this. Number one, I can't paint to save my life and I really pushed hard to do this, second, to even come close to a professional illustrator's style is just... wow. Sadly the camera didn't do it any justice. The background is actually turquiose, blue, green, and purple and spattered with that fancy gold paint. Inspiration from a peacock feather lol~ Still, it pretty much picked up everything else including the shiney paint, so yeah. As for the woman, its actually Moonflower (who I'm sure most of you have seen in my gallery) as a human. Stupid camera made her eyes blue. Bah. Either way.. Now to do the actual project. XD

For this being a smaller sized work, I'm amazed at how much detail I still managed to get in there lol!
I won't know what I get on it until Wednesday actually. XD So we'll see! *fingers crossed*
