as for the last two boxes: yes, seriously. as sad as it is, I just don't see him living that long. He's not a healthy person by nature, and these were times with less medicine than we've got now. If he makes it to 50, that'll be an accomplishment.

but let's not dwell on that, because it's sad. let's dwell on "hey, he was kind of cute as a late-teenager". I'm sure he would have gotten all the girls, if he hadn't been busy recovering from polio and also not liking girls.
