Burple backwinged as fast as she could, her prize of just a minute before having sprouted a sharp beak of its own and flippers that flapped ferociously after her, hissing all the while.
"Look out!" She screeched down at Avanti, the gryph who himself was eyeing up what appeared to be a sizable glowing stone just under the surface of the frosty lake surface. "They're flapper snappers!"
Alpha peered down from her precarious perch atop a nearby cliff at the screech. What were those two yelling about now? Could they not take anything seriously?
