Autumn grew up not knowing her mother, as she died in child birth. Despite this she lived with a loving foster family in a small village. This village was on the edge of elven territory, a part where shifters (shapeshifters) often visited. No one knew who Autumn's dad was until she turned 17, when she went before the elders of her village to find her true family line. The elders were horrified by what they saw, shifter blood in this young elf! They told her to try things a shifter could do, but she couldn't do these tests so they thought nothing of it.
Eventually the elders decided they would tell her, and no one else, keeping it a secret. She stayed silent for a year, but then she couldn't take it, she had to figure out who her father was and why he had abandoned her and her mom. Autumn pleaded with the elders to help her until they reluctantly agreed. They found her father as he was disguised as an elf and hadn't had the sense to leave the village. When the whole village found out about the illegitamacy of Autumn's birth and bloodline, the elders had no choice but to banish them both.
Autumn and her dad traveled together for about 3 months, only to be rejected by the shifters as well. Eventually Autumn was fed up with this person who had no right to be her father other than blood, and decided to part ways with him, leaving him only with the water he had with him. Ever since then, Autumn has wandered through forests and deserts to find friends and a place where she would be accepted for who she is.
She did find one friend in the shifters, an adventurous shifter named Kaelia who drags her into many risky adventures which she never would have gone on with out her. With each new adventure, Autumn realizes more and more how important this friendship is, and wonders if this could possibly grow to be something more.
