Billy's talisman is a broadsword scabbard that was given to him by his Uncle! The same Uncle who introduced him to knighthood and the royal army. It was gifted to him on his 8th birthday where it was... rather big on the poor lad; his little wooden sword barely filled out 1/4 of the scabbard and would continually fall out. Billy insisted otherwise though! He was enamored with it and wore it with so much pride...he may have also refused to take it off for a few weeks maybe months in a row?? At least Billy wasn't the reason his parents instilled the "No weapons at the table" rule, that one was because of the crossbow incident with his sister.
His father however, was not pleased with the gift and had a looong, rather heated discussion with his brother. Rivvin (papa) was livid - how could you give a child something like this? Promoting violence at such a young, impressionable age? The cherry on top was the fact that Joralwyn (Uncle dearest), was given the scabbard by HIS father, a person Rivvin had decades worth of resentment toward. Basically, the gift was a bit of a slap in the face to Billy's dad, unbeknownst to the birthday boy. Don't even get me started on the sword he got for his 13th.
He takes it with him on every mission (to hold his weapon obviously) and displays his badges on his belt!
sorry i'm too tired to write a good thing for Billy but here it is. This one took me a while because I can't draw satyr legs. In hindsight, I probably should've thought about that before making a faun character... oh well. I left it for... I wanna say three weeks? and came back to it today where hopefully I've created a better rendition of some deer leggies. I cannot wait for this to become a viscious cycle.
also a little bit of family lore I guess, I gotta do some with corm too.
