Biography/Summary

Garrett was bred for war. He never knew his parents, he didn't know what a "parent" even was until much later in his life. He knew his superiors, who cared for him and the other young centaurs he grew up with. But they were not his friends. They were conditioned from a young age to be loyal, strong, to be the best. All you had to do was listen to your superiors and report those who didn't. 

The centaurs were taught a few things: how to read and write, survival basics, operate certain equipment, and fight. Their proficiency and character would determine the types of jobs they would be set out to do. Most wanted to be a fighter, not someone carting people and supplies around. Garrett was deemed proficient and his training specialized his skills for a life of battle.

But he kept his character a secret. Even if he didn't like the centaurs around him it never felt good to see them punished or suffering. And it felt good to truly help others. To secretly leave his breakfast at the sleeping quarters of one who earned no meals for a week, avoiding watchful eyes so as not to be reported for giving to the weak and rebellious. He got away scot-free for a long time.

He travels the lands alone. Doing work when he needs the money. As a sword for hire or something simpler, like transportation or farm labor. He's good at surviving, but not at living.
