An off-white kantele, made out of only the finest bones of slain kings of the forest. Its hauntingly beautiful sound trembles through the instrument, giving out the impression of the bones' past masters lamenting through its sorrowful song.

Despite having only five strings made of the being's own tail hairs, the instrument can produce more notes than it should be able to. It can reach similar range as a kantele with 15 strings, but each simulated string adds strain to its player. If the instrument stretches its wielder's life force too thin, its sound becomes discordant and even quivering.
While the varras, and tuning pegs and pins, are whittled from darkened pine wood, the rest of the kantele's body is constructed out of bones from brown bears. Its ponsi crudely just the lower jaw of an unlucky quarry, the top plate is cut to shape from another's scapula. The lower part of the body is tied together from various femora and tibiae - which makes it a mystery, how the kantele can even produce the sounds it does without a hollowed out base.
Its song can be manipulated in a way that makes the kantele sound as though it had a bridge.

Every now and then, the creature might play the instrument out of loneliness, and of yearning for something once lost.
Its call remains unanswered, always - unheard by those it once held close to its stone-cold heart.
