New Power

Asra has yearned for power, for magic that could rival that of the maleficar that killed their loved ones. Shortly after their transformation into their current form, they could feel magic surging through them. But they didn't expect what they got. Shadows surrounded them, but also unholy flames. This isn't what they thought would happen. The flames scare them, make them see flashes of death and descruction. Asra wonders for a second if this was the right choice. Would they be able to grow tolerable of their powers of shadow and flame?
