Every hero needs a tool to use in battle. Unnamed Slime Number Three found a chest, and decided it would be a suitable weapon to beat something with.
When they picked it up, they heard something rattling inside, so they then proceded to spend the next few hours trying to get it open. Eventually, they turned the chest upside down and aggressively stomped on it, until the bottom completely fell apart.
Inside, was a rusty old sword that someone long forgotten about. It was the most amazing weapon they had ever held. Never before had a slime welded a weapon, never before had a slime had any way to attack besides hitting and slime projectiles. Unnamed Slime Number 3 was slowly becoming more and more like a hero. Now all they needed was a quest.
They then turned the chest over so nobody could see the massive hole in the bottom and walked away to go beat up rats for xp.
