CHARACTERS: Infernos-Harclay Disare, Quinn, Whinter Fyre, Shingen, Istornim Baenrat'tar, Eldaerenth, Viiris Donlo, Ophelia H. Foxglove
PROMPT: Prompt #3 - Spine Chilling - Portal Posi’s lab has been discovered! But as you approach, the ground erupts as giant, 12 foot tall serpentine robots rise up from their dusty graves. Their long, segmented bodies look like spines, and their heads are old tube televisions featuring the swirling static of a portal that goes… who knows where. Ice seems to stop them– for a time. Defeat them or sneak past in order to get into Portal Posi’s lab. Make sure they’re all the way down, or they might just follow in behind you. Draw or write about your character dealing with the spine portal robots. Your piece must include your character and a spine-shaped robot with a portal for a head.

Thank you! I tried! HNG! ...

The battle is not only in the piece, I felt its tension! No, I just overdid myself a little (after doing so in a row). I'm happy you feel this way~ 🤍

This turned out so awesome and it's always an honor to see how you get to this point! Like I already said, the motion is great, I can see what movement each of them is going to do next. It doesn't look like a still life even though it technically is and the way you drew the spines of the portal serpents is really cool.

Oh, yeah, all the complaints on my way to the result. Hahah!

I'm so glad you can recognize their motion, as it is really difficult to add additional, individual motion for each of them, without it becoming visually overwhelming. Good to know that I found a type of balance! Thanks a lot for this lengthier comment, I appreciate it a lot. 🤍
