yeah wow i like that second one you showed me. I can get a better idea of how the program uses terrain there. Does it create maps in vector format or bitmap format?

Ya know, I never even BOTHERED to check. I just exported to JPG automatically to futz with it in Adobe. Because this is all the bigger it gets, I've not figured out yet how to adjust the map canvas dimensions. I've only used it twice. *MEEP* let me go open the program and look for you....

Here, I took a screencap of the working screen for you:

as you can see VERY basic stuff that's how it looks prior to me exporting it. and doing the post work. That's the same following Tides map above. Wink

I don't believe it has Vector capabilites, what you see is all you get, (It will also design INTERIORS like castles etc... I have plug ins for those.

wow you are right about the ugly colors. The interface looks easy enough to use though. I've got a similar program that my brother gave me. Its for making dungeons and dragons maps. It's really old though. I haven't tried installing it on my system since I got XP. Thanks for showing me that screen shot.

Yes, the look is more than craptastic without postwork. But it does make laying out land masses, rivers, mountains etc really easy, And it's not really difficult to toss a hue adjustment on it on APShop, burn the edges, toss the compass rose on there and stick in nice fonts. That takes longer than the actual building itself.

Glad the screenshot helped, I always find it easier to judge by SEEING myself. Smile

And I find it hilareous that suddenly the google ads at the bottom of the page have links to the program home page now!
