There's nothing wrong with lined paper- it just takes the illusion away from the picture. If you're happy with your efforts then it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks. I mean, I'd suggest a good quality sketch pad for art, but that's cause they take the punishment of a heavy drawing hand and eraser, and they take ink better, but we all deal with what we have, right? As long as you're proud of it, then its a work of art to you.
