Wow, not only is it actually abstract art in the abstract gallery (pet peeve of mine, sorry :p) it's a really nice piece, to boot! Honestly I think much of our most honest and highest-quality art happens when we're bored, because the amount of conscious interference is at its lowest then and you're just creating for the sake of creating. Somehow it doesn't look red, white and blue, or purple really, even though it's unquestionably a compounding of red and blue on white, which should blend visually to violet. I can feel that I *should* see violet. But I really don't. Yet I also don't really see it as 'red-white-blue' either. Cool.
