The poem was written by De Moreland. Years ago. She's one of my oldest and dearest friends. More than friends; not a lover in the sexual sense, but in every other sense. She's like my mom, actually. Yeah, that's it. Sheesh, that was a round about way of trying to explain it. I'd add a smiley of confusion or something equally expressive if I knew how. LOL

I love this and she will too! I really don't know what to say. I'll have to think and when I can make sense of my brain droppings, I'll tell you privately.

I'm especially glad it's you in the picture. Haven't known you long, but you've wrapped me in your wings and held me together long enuf for me to feel safe and blessed. I appreciate that more than you can know. I love that the picture became it's own thing during creation; that's how it should be. That's how the poem came about. She said she came to the poem with an image and then the poem took over and wrote itself. Exactly as it is. Some folks have told her to change this or that and she won't. Maybe it would improve it, maybe not. She doesn't care. It's the poem it's supposed to be and she sticks by it.

And the message is so true. I'm glad you reminded me.

HUGS and more hugs. And a bucketload of flowers for you.

Brain droppings can occasionally take a while to piece together, can't they? I know mine do.

Embarrassed it's amazing what a few messages back and forth between people worlds away can do. Often, it's words from people on these sites that really brighten my day. Perhaps that's why I'm always in front of the computer. Laughing

I told you I wouldn't wait to finish this one. Unfortunately, I really DO have to work on those other projects now. Smile Much love, and hugs to you. I'll put the flowers in some water, right here on my work desk. Bounce
