Uh... hmm... it's kinda hard to explain but vector is points in space rather than pixels. I know that sounds weird. It's meant to be sharper than a raster image (which is composed of pixels) so not matter how big you blow it up or how small you shrink it, it will always keep the same image quality. It's used for printing a lot and illustrating Yes I dunno know if that really explained anything Sweat Drop you can probably get a more technical run down of it if you type in 'vector graphics' on Wiki.
