I quite like this. I wish I could give a more helpful critique, but I'm a pretty lousy artist...

Thanks for taking the time to comment and critques are easy. you just give an honest explaination of what you think/feel when you see the piece. What would you do, any ideas, suggestions? And nobody is a lousy artist, they're on the learning curve

I like the colours you used. The green against the blue gives the piece a mystical feel. Being a writer (aspiring only!), a scenario develops in my mind when I see the piece: The way the creature seems to be circling the orb seems possessive - as if it's found something special, some treasure from the unknown world above, and it's guarding it...though it doesn't know why it's special - just that it is. That's the scenario I get from looking at your piece.
I'm not sure if that helped, but those are my feelings on the piece.

  Thanbk you and, yes, this critique most certainly helped. Now I know that at least *one* person caught on to what was supposed to be going on in the piece. lol
