I love the background in this, it adds to the ethereal feeling. The expression is great, sad yet calm and content. Interesting combo indeed. 
Having her hold the barrier whilst bearing this expression is very interesting. Almost as if she's accepted her fate as a half-breed. I really like this character, this is one of my favorite Inuyasha episodes. One of the most sad as well.
