That is cool. Smile
Is all the color from the varnish, or is the varnish a coating over paint? What kind of paint is it safe to varnish over?

Thanks. Varnish acts as an enhancer of the color as well as protects the paint from dust and other things. There's three different types of varnish that are typically found in art stores that are used: matte, satin and gloss (I used gloss here; all give a different aesthetic.) It is indeed a coating brushed (or sprayed) over the paint. Varnishes can be used on acrylic or oil paint but only when fully cured. Cure times vary on certain elements but, oils usually take the longest to cure (6 months I believe is the bear minimum for oils!)

Acrylic dries pretty fast, especially in thin coats, so that's good to know. Smile
