Oh I just noticed your request for critique. I would suggest broadening the range of values (light and dark) for your character so it's easier to define the volumes. So make the lit areas a little lighter and keep the shadows dark. I hope that helps

MaskedLin That is fair, it's an issue I struggle with, especially on darker colored characters, since brightening the colors looses the darkness of the actual scales.
