Chasing Starlight

Currently catching up on about 6 years of Green Lantern that I've missed since I quit collecting DC comics a while back. I wont go into the reasons for quitting as it was 80% rage quit, and 20% the cost of comics in New Zealand, but I'm long over due filling in the gaps from before New Guardians where I've started collecting DC again.

So with reading back on Blackest night and a heap of other stories, I realise that DC has been really sneaky and resurrected feelings for Jenny again after the most lamest reason to cheat on a guy in existence (John Stewarts ex Merayn thought it was a good idea :/ ). That got me wondering if the stuff that happened during the Brightest day actually brought Jenny back to life like it did a heap of other heroes. I mean, she died giving the Starheart to Kyle, which was the last of the Starheart power in the DCU, so did they kill her off just to bring her back as a normal Green Lantern and erase Starheart from the canon? It... sadly makes sense after the shit that's gone down in the last 6 years :/

Anyways, it got me thinking on if Kyle would go back to her. He still loves her. More so than he did Soranik apparently. This saddens me cause Soranik is a cool character, and if Jenny doesn't get resurrected, I'd like to see them sort out his latent feelings (Kyle is terrible at getting over exs ). If he goes for Jen though, that'd mean that Soranik was just a rebound girlfriend. Bad feels there :( I think I heard a rumor somewhere though that they were gonna bring back Alexandra De Witt, his first girlfriend (Hope not- she's cool, but Kyle finally got over her ^^;).

So yeah, I decided to draw a harem styled picture of Kyle and his ex girlfriends. Cause damn it, I'm a fangirl. And screw haters.

Yeah- I have no idea what I'm doing with Photoshop yet. IGNORE MY FAILURES AND STARE AT THE SPARKLES AND SHINY!

Role call:-   Soranik, Jenny Le Hayden aka- Jade (Top), Kyle Rayner (middle), Donna Troy aka- Troia (Bottom), Alexandra De Witt

Thanks, Susie! I've tried really hard to get more females into my art over the last year or so. It's starting to pay off Smile My figures are still pretty masculine, but no where near as bad as they use to be ^^

I don't think they look masculine at all!

Oh, no! Not now! I've done a lot of practise since then Smile It took a while, and life drawing has helped me get females better too, but I'm starting to get figures on my women. For a long while though I could only draw men, and my women looked more like men with breasts >.> It was the strong details I was giving them. My women are still a little samey, but that'll get better with practise so I'm not as worried now days Smile I'm more worried about loosening up my poses and getting a wider range in my repertoire right now.
