Damn Zack! This is one eerily creepy and beautiful piece. I don't know how you accomplished it but you managed to make everything hazy and detailed at the same time.
One thing in particular catches my eye.....those glowing eyes on that staff.

Damn good work. No wonder i'm hearing praises often about your work.

Thanks, I don't venture into color as often as I should, because I rarely like the result. This is one were I actually liked the color sceem. I think its because their are only like two colors. I liked the eyes on the staff too, ithink it gives the staff personality.

I agree, it gives it loads of personality.

Laughing Well, as long as it's mystery to you, it will continue to be a challenge to create and you should continue to have fun with it!

Thanks you, the only thing I would change about this one is the mist. I think I would add more.
      • Jul 21, 2005
You're welcome! I think it would look very cool if you did that.

The dark mistiness you've created is nothing short of phenomenal, dear. I love how the image is jusst barely visible through the lighting.

This is really working out as a fantastic concept art piece. You are right about the color, it is working in this one. Maybe sticking to a couple colors is a good fit for you. What medium is this?

Thanks, In general I don't favor colored work so on occasion when i do work with color, I prefer as few as possible. this one was drawn in photoshop 4 entirely with a mouse. not my prfered medium but is fun to toy with.

Wow Zac this is amazing. I love the creepy look of this. And the green light coming from the swamp, incredible. I love the the shadow on Hawtorn's face it gives him more depth. Like he is surrounded by shadow in more way than one.Great job!!!!!!!
