Sketch Dailies Masked Princess

So I didn't really follow the rules, but I did draw a girl with a mask...does that count? I actually like the way this turned out, the mask feels a little plastic to me but I may color this someday and that should help me bring it to life. I work soooo slowly, it took a little over 2 hours to do this so I gave up before adding color. Great practice on a different expression and a younger Muidemi 😊 Thought I would draw something different than my heroine, but out of the gate and here I am still with her.

This counts! I actually revise the rules so that you could do anything if you didn't like the topic. Also sometimes they don't post the topic in time.

The mask and her expression came out great

The brown texturing to the canvas is a great touch Smile

This is cute. She has a lovely smile. I like how you drew her ears.

Thanks Sorrel-g! my main character, she's half elf half what my other character, Sibira, is for a frame of reference there. I should draw her parents again some time soon...i have a really old piece of them I drew back in 2004 that I did contemplate posting... Probably wouldn't really look so 'human' but hey, I ran with the fantasy theme Smile I think her ears are one of my favorite design pieces, I'm still figuring out how to draw them at different angles since I have settled on she cannot move them at all being a trait.

Are they stiff enough that they don't give much if she bumps into something? Cartilage is soft enough that it wouldn't hurt too much, I don't think...

No, not stiff, I suppose I would describe velmuht ears more like rabbits with the lop ears, they just lack the muscles to move them? Muidemi can lay on her ears just like we can, but she can't 'control' them, prick them up etc. any more than we can move ours...if that makes any sense lol. That just means I won't be using them to help describe her emotions in my images 😅
