Cerus's name comes from "Selenicereus", which is the genus of plants dragonfruit belongs to!

they were created by a nomcromancer who hoped to use their cuteness to his advantage, using cerus to infiltrate places and spy for him. Unfortunately the noncromancer added just a little too much spice and gave Cerus a bit of a rebellious streak!

As soon as they could, Cerus escaped, taking everything they'd learned from their nomcromancer with them. 

Cerus loves the heat and thrives in hot weather. They love the desert and sunning themself in the sand or racing through dunes.  They also love to paint, though they aren't fond of having to get it out of their fur!

They have a mischievous nature but hide it well, usually letting people think that they're super sweet until the very last second. Despite this, they aren't evil and don't set out to hurt anyone, and are always quick to make amends if something goes wrong.
