Vroom Vroom!: Chapter 1

Gambit was proud of how much he’d been able to teach his nephew in just the short time that they had known each other. Fletcher had a knack for making great poker faces, the kid knew how to hide an ace - now if only he could keep Beast preoccupied long enough to pull a quick one on him.

“A’ight,” Fletcher beamed, looking over his cards at the blue mutant as Gambit lounged on the couch just feet away. “Ju got any… Fou-”

“Gambit!”

“Whu!?” Gambit sat up quickly as Jubilee and Tabitha ran into the room, nearly tripping over themselves as they leapt over the couch to seek his advice. One look at Jubilee’s face and he knew it was bad.

“Whu did ju do, Petit?” He grumbled, narrowing his eyes.

“You-you know that stash… that stash I have in my closet?” Jubilee began, fairly whimpering, ignoring the fact that Fletcher and Beast had stopped their game to eavesdrop.

“Uh huh…” Gambit did not like where this was going.

“It’s gone!” Jubilee shouted, running her hands into her hair. “Wh-what if the Professor finds it!?”

“Yeah!” Tabitha interjected. “Can you imagine him drunk!? He’d be like: Vrooom! VROOOM!”

The room went silent… Tabitha seemed not to understand the seriousness of the situation.
