Chapter 1: Chapter 1

A/N: Takes place during my Sims 2 legacy (that I'm not recording because my game kinda crashed sad) so these are pretty much not even TS2 characters anymore, they're pretty much characters in their own little original thing. This, however, is an AU within that, this was just a fun little Halloween idea to play around with.

There was a loud creak as the door opened, then again as it shut. Monica sighed; they really should get that fixed. She was coming home several hours later than she had expected; Professor Komei’s lecture had lasted a bit longer than usual, and her brother had called her cell, wanting to meet up with her to ask about girlfriend problems in person. They’d met at a café close to both of them, and had ended up just sitting around talking for hours, until Mom had called his cell, demanding that he come home because it was getting late.

Bidding her little brother farewell, Monica headed back to the campus house her best friend, boyfriend and herself rented. Stepping inside, it was completely dark, though she wasn’t surprised, it was nearly midnight. Managing to get upstairs without tripping on something and falling on her face, she stumbled through the darkness into her bedroom, dropping her purse and coat on the floor by the door. Kicking off her shoes and crawling into bed, Monica cuddled up next to her boyfriend, who was…. surprisingly cold.

“…Bud? Are you awake?” She asked quietly, rubbing his arms and chest in an attempt to warm him up. His response was a low moan, making her frown, “Are you ok?”

“…Brains….” She felt Bud roll onto his side and grab her arm, nuzzling it.

Seriously confused, Monica let him do this, trying to figure out what the heck he meant. “…Does your… brain hurt…?”

Suddenly she felt a sharp pain in her wrist and gasped, trying to jerk her arm away from him, while blindly reaching for the bedside lamp with her other. After a few seconds of fumbling and the pain growing, she managed to turn it on, and screamed at what she saw.

Bud was a zombie. She didn’t know how, but he was.

Grabbing the lamp and smashing it over his head, Monica pulled her arm away from him, jumped out of bed and ran across the hall to the other bedroom, belonging to her best friend and Bud’s sister, “Amber! Get up! Bud’s a zombie I know it’s crazy we have to go!!”

Panicking, she slammed the door shut behind her and pressed her hand over the bite to try and slow the bleeding. “Get up, Amber!!”

The only thing she heard in reply was a moan, and she felt herself becoming even more terrified as Amber dragged herself out of bed and started shuffling towards her. Screaming, Monica turned and threw open the door, only to see Bud right outside of it, moaning and reaching towards her.

Her last thought before the panic forced her to stop thinking was that she probably should’ve gone home with her brother.
