Looking at this now, Ive come a long way in painting digitally and using layers. :O
History: back when Shyl arrived in Jyrynna, the dark elves and dwarves there let raiders take what they wanted. Shyl grew tired of watching this and finally motivated them, with the help of the dark elf elder Mathias. Here, he is leading them to battle, helping them to defend their homes and their land, helping them show those who thought them weak that they are strong and a force to be reckoned with. While Shyl leads them, Mathias (Lower right) watches with pride. Mathias had remembered Shyl as a scared young man in the war of the anchients, and he was one who witnessed his growth and maturity on the field of battle, even though the fight was lost. Long story, lol... The one in the front, on the left, is Baeddan, Mathias' son.
This is made from four drawings and two photos, both of which were taken by me while on a trip to Anchorage. This had like 15 layers and still I can see spots that I could have fixed, but here it is. ^_____^ My first real photoshop painting.
Maybe you'll be inspired to recolour it some day.
