ToTD - Young Priest Shippo

This is my share of the Temple of the Dog craze that Urd-chan has started on DA.com.

Here, I just wanted to draw Shippo as a total bishounen and practice on foreshortening. Using your own hand as a model works, and it's great incentive to learn to sketch fast cuz after 10-15 mins, it feels ready to fall off! LOL!

Originally I was gonna have Shippo wearing only a plain gold band, but the obsessive-compulsive perfectionist in me couldn't stand it. It just screamed "incomplete". So then I preceded to spend the following two hours painting in the blingage (AHAHA! I love saying that!)

Enjoy it and drooling over how hot Shippo looks is highly encouraged! ^_^

    He looks very cute here and I do think you did a great job with the hand. The color could use a lot more darker values, as they seem very light now and the darker values would really make this piece pop. The background could also be a little more detailed to bring the subject to life. Nice work, thanks for sharing.
