Thrusday night I turned in my Watercolor portfolio for review, and went, "Hey, I haven't posted some of these." There were at least six pieces I really thought were good but after re-reviewing them myself, I only wanted to post two of my best. This is the second one.

Funny story about this, I was actually painting it while I had a friend over and we kept watching youtube and just totally not doing homework. XD But somehow, I seem to work better when the mood is chill and I'm in good company. If you're reading this I LOVE YOU NANCY! WE NEED TO HAVE A VIDEO NIGHT AGAIN! *hysterical waving*

For next Thrusday, we are to have five paintings (gesture paintings can be picked as well) for final class review. This is one of my five, the other four I'm still debating as I really want to use some of my gestures. x.x So much work. However, during review Thrusday night my instructor really loved this piece along with the reproduction of Rembrandt's lion I did. Honestly, I LOVE this horse. It is probably one of the best traditional media horses I've done in existance. I know he's not anatomically correct, what with me not being good at equines, but still. Its muuuuuuuuuch better than the horse drawings from when I was in elementary school lol~

What I love the absolute most about this (besides of course all of it!) is the energy and the action in the pose. It's so *powerful*! That really makes me sit up and take notice. Even the thrashing of the tail has an energy, a life, and a beauty to it that is simple magnificent. I adore this piece. You have a splendid command of watercolours!

Thank you very much! Gods know I still have a long way to go in learning to use them, but to hear something like that makes me smile! <3

All our lives are really learning experiences, especially for art...but you are so masterful in your employment of watercolours. I admire your control and your vibrance so much. I know you will only do more and more amazing work! Smile
