Bead Black Widow 1

A Halloween commission that I designed myself. Took three tries to get it black widow-y enough. For more information and photos, see my website hermitism.com.

Really? I have a friend who fainted at the sight of a camel spider on a poster once.

I'm not surprised Cry Those things are scary. You know what's worse? I was born in Avondale, New Zealand. Th Suburb's icon is the Avondale spider. They used them in Arachnophobia those spiders. THAT FREAKS ME OUT T.T

That movie creeped me out too. I don't think I ever knew what kind of spider they used for it. Although, looking at them now it explains why I heartlessly kill certain pale spiders and set others free outside.

It's funny though- Avondale Spiders are Huntsman spiders. They strangle their prey to death. They don't have a webs or any of the stuff the spiders in the movie did. They are BIG though. My Dad caught a small one under a 3L empty ice cream container. That was a SMALL one. I think I was scared for life from that...

The movie makers probably only cared about the size of the spiders. At least it would be harder for them to get in the house considering their size...
