"She is the one that the clan speaks of when she cannot hear. She is the one that they say was destined to solitude for a lifetime.
She is the woman that no one wants.
Abandoned by her only kin, her father left many moons ago and was never heard from again. She was cared for by the women, but never taken to as if one of their own. The other children shunned her. Not a friend in the world. And so she grew, happy as much as one could be, and wished to make something of herself. She wished to be a hunter, a warrior like some of the others in the clan.
They laughed into the night after her miserable fall. And still, she hoped in her heart of hearts to one day find her place with The People. So she became Teacher, passing on the songs and dance to the youth. The only ones that finally gave her some form of acceptance. But such happiness can only go so far. She was still alone. Always alone. No friends of her own age, no family, no mate; just herself.
They say I am the woman that no one wants..."
Being really depressed even though I've been trying to laugh it off, ugh. So I ended up drawing my Na'vi 'sona, Ysiri to try and venting out some of my feelings. She's gone through a lot of changes since her first appearance. When I created her she was more of the carefree part of myself that I wanted to have shown in my personality, as well as the loving side. Basically, shit happened and here I am not so carefree now, and I started getting little mental images of her just being.... so sad. And the more I tried to draw her happy, I couldn't. For some reason I could not physically draw her being happy or spunky like I first did. So I figured, "Well, you can't force her out. So just go with it."
And I did. So here we are now with this up here. It felt good to make a piece that represents a lot of my sadness, even if it didn't really help ease it. As for the bit of prose, its actually Ysiri telling a story about herself in the third person. Now all that up there about no friends, family, and mate has NOTHING to do with me. I love all my friends and the few family members I have left. So I don't want any of my buddies giving me frowny faces, because I love you and we're still friends. XD
