It's a mermaid I did, and finally colored. it's watercolor, and copic/prisma markers.

While the elbows are a tad funny, and the colors seem unaffected by the color of the water the shading is lovely as are the colors you chose to add to the fish and mermaid.

I tried to add blue to the skin to show water effecting it but uh water color didn't go over very well. yeah elbows are weird, i noticed that too. my mom is hounding me for a copy of this again.

Murrr, might I suggest adding either a blue/green/purple shading to the deeper arts of the body? That might help make other mermaids more watery =3

I'll keep adding green or blue to the deeper body in mind, but why purple?

Because purple fits more naturally into the skin tone. Rather than being awkward like green or blue and greying it out. Choose the right purple can make skin pop while being darker at the same time.

I will have to try that. Sam's afraid to add colors that aren't pink, or peach colors ;.;'

                  I did see that.

I know, I was just bringing to attention the blue in the skin tone. Cos SEEEE it's okay to use odd colors, we get weird colors on our bodies in real life, why not use them for the art we make? =3

Aw, just tell her to try it out on a doodle she doesn't care about, and when she sees it doesn't ruin things maybe she'll be more willing to try things out?
