Thanks....I was six years old when I first saw the 7th Voyage of Sinbad in the theater....over the next three months I saw the film 10 times. It made such an impression on me that it inspired my to do art.

Thanks....it's helpful when you're doing a scene from a movie and the cinematographer knows what he's doing in the reference photos you've chosen. Big Smile

You have to credit cinematographer Wilkie Cooper for that....he shot the backgrounds to the scenes in the movie ( 7th Voyage of Sinbad, 1958)and special effects wizard Ray Harryhausen put in the stop motion skeleton. Me, I simply recreated the image in acrylics. Big Smile

I am unfamiliar with your source material, but the picture is entertaining, and I enjoy your dramatic shadows.

It's from the movie, THE SEVENTH VOYAGE OF SINBAD (1958) and it was the special visual effects from this film that changed my life forever from being a normal kid of six, to a kid who wants to express himself through art by drawing fantasy settings and mythological beasts. Smile

I am a big fan of Ray Harryhausen's stop motion special effects and, among other things, it was his images of dinosaurs and fantasy creatures that inspired me to draw and eventually paint. This is a scene from THE 7th VOYAGE OF SINBAD (1958) I did this as part of an art show back in 1990.
