        Well, sometimes the cliches are grounded in reality... I've heard from a couple of different sources before that part of Tolkien's inspiration for Luthien was the lady he ended up marrying, whose guardian disapproved of him.

          Oh yes, I remember reading it in his biography! Edith, was it?
          I also remember that their grave has Beren and Luthien names engraved on it, below theirs. So sweet ❤️
