Landscape Study, Highlands

Posted Jun 1, 2020, 9:08:28 PM UTC

The most recent of the landscape studies I've done, focusing on a higher altitude than my previous ones. I feel I made more progress with my choice of perspective here, which makes me happy.

Art belongs to me

Thanks! Landscape studies can be boring at times, but let none say that they aren't effective when done right Smile

I really love your style, and once again your distance is spot on!

Thank you! I did this maybe a month ago, I've been in a bit of a rut art-wise since but hopefully I'll be posting something here soon that'll be more than a sketch - I very much prefer my fully-rendered style, though sketches certainly are easier!

It came out better than I was expecting for sure, thanks! I think from here I'm going to see about how I can incorporate what I picked up from these into my normal pieces, because I tend to start my character art with the character, then add the background... I want to flip that so the overall composition is better. It'll be a transition.

Thank you! I put off doing these for a long time, but they really are VERY helpful!
