swimming with the epiale's

After going through the portel he knew what he wanted to do after asking the local fish in the area where he could find a ride around the depths. To his joy he heard about the epiales and that they where very friendly giants of the sea that dont mind giving rides to merfolk and that it was quite popular too.

I like the detail in the epipale's eye, it has that softness you'd see in a gentle giant. Holding onto the fin like that, there'd be a lot of momentum going on, so I imagine it would be difficult to keep a hold on it. With the upward and downward motion of a fin, that likely would show in his posture, curving the line of his profile. Doing this wouldn't just add motion to the piece, but would also loosen up his posture. I like the distinct blue cast of the shadows here, it harmonizes the piece with the marine environment.
