"I guess this is my life now..."

When Dravin once stole a stryx egg from a famous hatchery, he expected one of those colorful, shiny sparklebirds which he could sell for an insane amount of money. But then... the hatching chick turned out to be a dirty, brown, boring potato bird. Entirely worthless. No colors, no sparkles, not even... fancy floof or anything. No one would buy THAT, yet alone from... questionable origins and owners like this. Well. Dravin didn't have the heart to dump the little birds on the streets to get eaten by stray dogs, but that meant he was now stuck with it. He never intended to become one of those crazy chicken riders. Maybe he could raise it just enough to like... release it to the wild, or something. When exactly are these things big enough to survive on their own?

As the little bird grew, it demanded more and more attention from him. And - being a thief, not a bird nerd - he had little idea what to do with it. He didn't even WANT to do anything. Why was this thing not able to just... eat food and sleep the whole day? And otherwise leave him alone? Why did it want... attention? It was screaming at him constantly, followed him everywhere. Did it really think he was it's mother, or something?

"I guess I have no choice then, you giant feral chicken? Stop screaming at me."

Reluctantly, Dravin made kind of a "cat toy" out of a stick, some yarn and a few colored feathers and waved it in front of the bird's face. It seemed... confused while it starred at the thing. But at least it stopped screaming.

"What now? You have to like... try to catch it? Don't look at me like this. Look at this thing. It's a... uhhhh... look it's a food you can try to catch. Come on, catch it!"
