Voreyna grew up in a mid-sized town far from the capital city. Her father was a printer and bookbinder, and she developed a love of the written word very early in her life. She was a middle child with three brothers, so her time not reading was usually outdoors and very active. School was easy for her, but she loved the chance to learn new things and helped tutor any of her friends that struggled with it. She always felt a bit unfulfilled, though – when she was old enough she helped her father with his book business, but as much as she loved reading, it didn’t satisfy her.
In her mid-teens she was stricken with a strange wanderlust – she longed to go and experience the places that she read about in books, but her family didn’t have enough money to indulge her. They were however able to help her with publishing costs, so she’s tried her hand at writing pamphlets and travelogues. So far it’s only been enough to make a living, but something tells her that things are about to change dramatically…
