Kat lost both of her parents when she was very young, before she even had memories of them, and has been living just with her sister for most of her life. Kat is very upbeat and excitable most of the time. She loves to explore, and she has been training as a soldier since she was 10, so she could help protect the people she loves. When Kat turned 16, she was considered an official soldier. Despite this, people don't tend to take her very seriously. Maybe it's her smaller than average height, or her optimistic nature, but something about her makes many people dismiss her as just a kid, even her own sister.

Kat's planet has been dying for some time now, and by the time Kat was 15, the people of Earth had to flee to stay alive. After a year of travel through space, they have finally arrived on a new planet. Kat can't wait to get out and explore, seeing what new adventures this planet has in store for her.
