The Moon Flask

The Black Bandit's hip flask. He keeps it on him at all times, after he plundered it from a wealthy merchant ship on one of his first boarding missions.

The centre holds an opal cabochon, and the crescent moons have a slight glow to them, though the Bandit doesn't know why...

I'm still in awe that you were able to get those patterns so beautifully symmetrical... (or like that saying for eyebrows, 'they're not twins, they're sisters', lol) Your sense of light and shadow and your ability to define different kinds of materials (especially the opal!!!!!) is really remarkable!

Do you plan on filling the moons out with the badges he gets?

  Oh man, I forgot about updating it with portal badges! Hmmm. I think he would pin them to the strap to be honest.
  
  For symmetricality, I just kept turning my sketchbook for each curved pattern addition.

  I find it really interesting how much fun I have doing the talisman challenges, when normally I wouldn’t bother drawing an item as a main subject.

  No. But I am enjoying the whole process of considering objects for character development. What makes sense for this character? How did they get it and why? How do I translate that into something cool to design and draw?
