Ever since she was a little filly, Primrose Petal's parents were very protective of her. Petals, as they called her, worked along side them in their family run flower shop. She seemed especially skilled with plants. Her parents were delighted when her cutie mark appeared as a primrose, declaring her destined to take on the shop once they retire. But not for a long time, of course! For now, she was precious, fragile, and to be handled liken a delicate treasue. They kept their prized daughter to the back rooms and greenhouse, rarely allowed to talk to customers where her father ran the front end of the store.
As Petals grew into her teen years, she grew more and more tired of her parents' stuffy rules. She began to experiement with her magic, secretly using large thorned vines like whips and reaching tenticles. She daydreamed of helping ponies like the heros in comic books. Eventually, she began to sneak out at night while her parents were alseep, roaming the dark paths in hopes of helping those in need. She found ways to obscere her idenity as best as possible, while still appearing as the same old dainty Petals the next morning. She wrapped her long, crested tail together and wore a wig over it, and tied her floppy, weak looking ears to her usually hidden crown of horns. If anypony met her looking like this, she gave them the name of her alter ego, Wylde Fyre.
