My shadow magic sorcerer Asra, who's a fallen aasimar with a tragic and spooky backstory. A character that was used in a Westmarches Server before it went caput. So now I'll put them here and change them up for adventuring! They are genderfluid and use they/them pronouns :)

Asra was once regular half angel, born to a human mother and a archangel father. They were raised primarily by their mother with occasional visits from their father. Despite being a shy person, Asra managed to find a few friends and had taken up the hobby or jewelry crafting with their mother. Their happy life changed when maleficar attacked their city and killed their mother and friends. While the maleficar were brought to justice, Asra could not recover. The trauma had crippled them and they left on a journey to become a person who would be powerful enough to fight against evil people so that they would never lose anyone ever again and prevent others from enduring the same. Asra found a scientist who told them that they could take the blood of a demigod within them to give them magic. Asra, willing to make whatever sacrifice they needed for power, took the proposition. Taking the blood within their veins made them lose their divinity and made them change entirely in appearance. Now they weild the power of shadows, talk to shadows, have horrid nightmares, and often scare those around them. But Asra got what they want. Power. And despite the pain, the drawbacks, and the difficulties that come with this power, they are determined to stick to their goal.
