Helgi is an art student from Akureyri, Iceland living in Savannah, Georgia. He has Waardenburg Syndrome and is Deaf but uses bilateral cochlear implants to achieve a little bit of hearing. He also has a cleft lip/palate which he is very against the idea of fixing, as he thinks it gives him 'character'. He has psychosis and struggles to feel connected to reality.

 

Helgi grew up in Reykjavik and moved to the United States for school. He's an only child who grew up with a single father who was very strict.

 

He likes playing guitar, writing, sculpting, painting, and cats. He has a fear of dogs but likes them in theory.

 

He's talkative and friendly but awkward, and worries his English isn't as good as it should be. Helgi can be sort of closed off and private.
