Biography:

Freya grew up on a farm with her father and five younger siblings. Her mother had dissapeared a year after her youngest blood-sibling was born. She was very close with her family, her brothers especially. She liked her sisters but it was hard to find things in common with them.  As the eldest sibling she had a lot of responsibilities. Helping her father manage the farm, manage her siblings. Making sure everyone was on top of what they needed to get done. When she had spare time she worked on other farms and did small jobs in town to earn extra coin to save, and see her siblings educated. If she had time after she would explore the forest bordering the farm. Climbing trees and watching animals pass by. She might wrestle with her brothers, or get a sister to join them in a sword fight, using makeshift stick-swords to prove their mettle.

One day she set out to deliver a rooster to a nearby farmstead. They had too many at the moment and their neighbor too few, a predator must have caught them. That seemed to be happening more often these days. The road bordered a forest but nothing was thought of it at the time, extra shade while going for a long walk is always nice, and its not like large animals ventured this close to the farms during the day. Freya would be safe to walk alone. It was oddly quiet though, even the rooster didn't give her any trouble despite how long she had been holding onto him for. 

She heard a rustling in the trees and turned. 

Something launched at her giving her no time to run or defend herself, but enough to scream and raise her arm. A local farmer heard her cry for help and drove the beast away and hurried her back to her home. After a week in a feverish state her father enlisted the help of a cleric. She was diagnosed and "cured", or so they thought. But her moon came, and although she didn't transform completely into a monster, her features shifted. Her ears, her eyes. She lost teeth, sharper ones having pushed them out to take their place.

She stayed in her room, only her and her father knew. He was worried for her. She was worried for the rest of them. And when she found out how much he paid to have her "cured", she left to make it back. A large sum, a large burden. They'd all be safer with her gone... freer and happier... anyways.

She had to protect them from herself.

She makes decent coin as an adventurer. Sending the majority of it home. Hopefully it is serving her family well. Hopefully they are all well. It's been so long... would the youngest even recognize her, anymore?
