Charm bracelet

Viola's charm bracelet was a gift that her father gave to her on her fifteenth birthday. It originally had no charms and was only a simple, silver chain. The present her brother, Sebastian, gave her was a small, wooden carving he had made. It was a model of the wild owl that flew around their home that the twins had named Olivia. Viola asked her brother to turn it into a charm for her bracelet. She eventually decided she wanted to have a charm for everyone she loved in her life. Her father had always told her that, while she wouldn't always have him, she would always carry a piece of him in the matching dark eyes they had and in the last name she inherited from him, Peere. He told her to always wear it proudly. He told her that even if she got married, it would only move over to make room for a new name, not get replaced. It was something she could never lose. Because of this, Viola asked Sebastian to carve a charm that read, "Peere". She was overjoyed when he handed her a small heart with the name carved into it. Finally, she wanted one for her mother. Though she'd never met her mother, Viola loved her. Every year on their mother's birthday, Viola and Sebastian picked hundreds of wild daisies from the field and made chains and bouquets. They took the flowers and decorated her grave in the forest with them. This always made their father smile, because daisies were her favorite flower. Because of this tradition, Sebastian carved a small, eight petaled daisy for Viola to put on her bracelet. Viola wears her bracelet every day, and it reminds her of the three people she loves, even in death. Alivia the owl for her brother, a heart with his name for her father, and a daisy for her mother.
